I see you Mt. Hood, you and your lovely tree lines, hazy snow top, and winding river. Counting down the days until I drive through your forests next. I’ll make sure to stop in your old downtown diner and order a huckleberry milkshake. I’ll take a spontaneous stroll down the sidewalk to prolong the other half of the drive, filling my lungs with your wild air, and exhaling all the heavy things. You’re always teaching me to let go.
